DÖW article about ATZP: Correction and public statement

Vienna, 25 September 2026

Following the 14-day deadline set in our letter, we are informing the public about the corrections made, our remaining objections and the next legal steps.

Following our request, DÖW has removed the passage that incorrectly described a private wedding as an ATZP event celebrating Turkish Republic Day and gave an incorrect date. The article now also records our objection to the claimed organisational affiliation of our association.

The legal response dated 25 September 2026 also states that our explanations will be taken into account in future analyses of ATZP.

We welcome this correction. Our other objections remain. Our request concerns the review and correction of all the representations we have disputed.

To protect the institutional independence and reputation of our association, we will pursue the outstanding issues through legal channels.

ATZP stands for the rule of law, equal rights for all and mutual respect. Embracing our Turkish identity, preserving our culture and advocating for the rights of our community through democratic means is not extremism; it is an expression of democratic participation.
